How the Sale Works:

Collaborative Closets is a pop-up consignment sale where many local people sell their clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry, and accessories together in one organized shopping event.Consignors register for the sale, choose which items they would like to sell, and prepare and tag those items at home. Before the sale, they drop everything off with us. We organize the items by category and size, run the sale, process shoppers’ purchases, and track which consignor sold each item. After the event, consignors collect any unsold items they do not wish to donate and receive their portion of the proceeds from everything that sold.

What Is My Consignment Manager?

My Consignment Manager is the online system we use to organize the sale. After registering, each consignor receives an account where they can enter their items, set prices, indicate whether each item may be discounted during the half-price sale, and choose whether to donate it if it does not sell.The system generates a tag with a barcode for each item. Consignors print and attach these tags before drop-off. When an item is purchased, we scan its barcode at checkout so the system records the sale under the correct consignor’s account. This allows many people’s items to be sold together while ensuring that each consignor receives credit for their own sales.
